The Howard Hughes Howard Hughes Medical Institute (HHMI) Gilliam Fellowship for Advanced Study provides awards to graduate students and their dissertation advisors to ensure that students from groups underrepresented in science are prepared to assume leadership roles. The HHMI Hanna H. Gray Fellows Program supports early career life scientists in academic labs across the U.S. with the goal of recruiting individuals from underrepresented groups. The HHMI Investigator Program supports investigators who are widely known for their scientific discoveries and innovation. The HHMI Professors Program supports research scientists who convey the excitement of science to undergraduates. The HHMI Faculty Scholars Program supports top researchers during the early phase of their careers.
